If you have never heard of God's Own Junkyard, you are really missing out! This is pretty much a millennials dream. It is a free neon art gallery open to the general public. I mean, come on...free AND neon art?! Count me in!
I personally find it to be one of London's hidden gems that I am fortunate enough to have been able to visit on my last trip to the city. I will say that it is a bit of a journey to get there from Central London; you need to take the Victoria tube line to get to the Walthamstow Central Station and then walk about 3/4 of a mile to get to the gallery. It's about a 45 minute commute, but it's worth it, I SWEAR!
Some background info about God's Own Junkyard from their website: Its owner, Chris Bracey, has created iconic neon artwork for almost 40 years. The gallery houses hundreds of new and old neon artwork including "reclaimed neon signs, old movie props, and retro displays". If you decide to visit, they also have a really cute cafe that has refreshments and bakery items inside called The Rolling Scones (honestly with that name it's hard to pass up). Below are some stellar shots I took of the gallery, but I recommend going and visiting it in person to really be immersed in the art. (gotta say, it was pretty "lit")

This is the coolest thing I've ever seen. Such an aesthetic place with an awesome vibe.
